The College of Business at San Francisco State University is pleased to announce our sixth annual Women’s Emerging Leadership Forum! This year's topic is "Women Leaders in Innovation".
This annual event is a lively and engaging forum designed to help women achieve their full potential in the workplace by bringing together a diverse group of successful and aspiring leaders to exchange fresh ideas and hard-earned insights, to learn and avoid common pitfalls on the path to career advancement, and to identify ways to enhance your leadership skills while making meaningful connections and expanding your professional network.
Come Hear Our Keynote Speaker Lisa Lambert
This year, we are honored to host as our keynote speaker, Lisa Lambert, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at National Grid, Founder & President of National Grid Partners, and Founder/CEO and Chairman of UPWARD.
In her personal story for LeanIn.org, Ms. Lambert wrote: “The lesson that I learned over the past several years is simple: Stand up for yourself and celebrate what you’ve done. Lean in to ensure that your entire career gets recognized, not just one project. And never quit. I think as women, we often give up too soon and don't believe in our capabilities enough to overcome the challenges that we will inevitably face. If I've learned anything during my career, it's that you have to maintain your focus, always give your best effort, and never give up. If you consistently do those things, you will win.”
Chief Technology and Innovation Officer, National Grid
Founder & President of National Grid Partners
As Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at National Grid and Founder & President of National Grid Partners, Lisa Lambert is responsible for leading investments and innovation initiatives across the company.
Prior to National Grid, Ms. Lambert was a Managing Partner at The Westly Group. Prior to The Westly Group, she worked at Intel Corporation for 19 years and was Vice President and Managing Director of Intel Capital’s Software and Services Fund and the Founder and Managing Director of the $125 million Diversity Fund. An advocate for women, Ms. Lambert is the founder/CEO, and chairman of UPWARD (Uniting Professional Women Accelerating Relationships and Development), a global network of executive women. Ms. Lambert earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Management Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University.
