Ofer Ronen

Ofer Ronen leads the Chatbase bot analytics team with Google’s startup incubator. Previously, he served as CEO and founder of, an app performance monitoring service, which he sold to Google. In addition, he was CEO and founder of Sendori, an ad network, which he sold to IAC. He is a startup mentor at Stanford and an Angel Investor in Lyft, Palantir and Klout. Ofer holds an MS in artificial intelligence from the University of Michigan, and received his MBA from Cornell University.

Who Should Attend

This program is designed for anyone who is interested in developing stronger entrepreneurial skills. Students should be resourceful, resilient and mature, as well as be open to feedback and adapting to change. Participants who are able to bring intellectual rigor, natural curiosity and drive to get out and apply what they learn in the program will see a successful transformation of themselves by the end of the program.

Program Objectives

  • create an understanding of how to create a business strategy, conduct market analysis, test a product or service and develop a financial plan
  • learn how to manage limited resources to bootstrap a new business that allows entrepreneurs to launch and grow through lean startup principals
  • develop higher self-awareness of your attributes, capabilities and behaviors as a leader
  • improve executive-level communication and decision making skills
  • create a “fundable” business plan or pitch

Pitch Application for Startups

Our pitch events are open to startups from all industries and at any stage in the startup cycle.

If you are a startup founder or co-founder and would like to apply to pitch to our panel of judges, please fill out this APPLICATION with the following required information:

Please fill out application by deadline. Space is limited. Only seven participates will be selected to present during the Pitch Competition. This is a 3 minute VERBAL pitch (no pitch deck) followed by 3 mins of Q&A and feedback from our panel of judges. Timing is strictly enforced. All startup founders who are selected to pitch to our panel of judges, will be invited to participate in the Pitch Competition event.

General Rules

  • There is no fee for entry.
  • Applications may be entered by individuals or teams.
  • Each team may enter one idea.
  • Each team must have at least one currently registered SF State student; if you are applying as an individual, you must be a currently registered SF State student.
  • Currently registered SF State students include all full-time and part-time undergraduates, graduate students, and post-doctoral candidates.
  • SF State students must submit their email address at submission time.
  • The required events must be attended by at least one SF State student on each team. Team members who are not SF State students are also encouraged to attend, but at least one SF State student per team is required to attend.
  • A single individual cannot be the sole qualifying student for two teams.
  • Entries must be the original work of entrants.
  • Teams must disclose any funding already received at the time of registration.

Terms of Participation Agreement

By participating at the event, you grant the College of Business at San Francisco State University permission to capture photo/video of the event.

Tickets to this event are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, you have the option of giving it to a friend or team member to attend in your place.
